The guys over at the EagleCast are hosting an amazing online Heroclix tournament for Gongaii Games on Roll20. At the time of writing this, they are finishing up the Round of 16. A couple of people on the EagleCast Discord ask some of these questions so I thought it would be interesting to post some of the interesting information from the tournament. I gathered the information through both our documentation of the teams, their builds, points, records, and the data on which figures, special objects, and map bonus used complied by Zack Strong (Found Here).

Before I get into some of the neat things if you thought about playing Heroclix on Roll20 but not sure how to set it up or looking for a step by step guide, then check out this awesome tutorial written up by Emily.

Just a reminder that all the Swiss Groups results and team builds can be found Here.

How did the winners of each Swiss Group do in the first round of the 32 player bracket?

10 of the 16 Swiss Group winners exited the tournament in the first round, which was 62.5% of them. The winners of Group A, B, D, F, G, I, J, M, N, & P were the winners that lost their first-round match in the brackets.

This means that 6 of the 16 Swiss Group winners moved on to the round of 16, which was 37.5% of them. The winners of Group C, E, H, K, L, & O were the winners that won their first-round match in the bracket.

There were 11 players that went 3-0 in the Group Swiss, which means 68.75% of the groups had a player go undefeated. Those teams were:

Five of the 11 undefeated players lost in their first round of the 32 player bracket, which is 45.5% of them. The undefeated players that lost were from Group D, F, G, N, & P.

Six of the 11 undefeated players won in their first round of the 32 player bracket, which is 54.5% of them. The undefeated players that won were from Group C, E, H, K, L, & O.

How did each Group players do? Well Groups K, L, & O had both players advance to the Round of 16 in the bracket, while Groups I, N, & P had both players lose and are out of the tournament now. That is 18.75% each. That leaves the remaining Groups had one person advance and exit for 62.5%.
